Jennifer is our Principal & Senior interior design lead on all Core Interior’s projects.

The beauty of our small studio is you get to meet with the designer who designs for you.
We are not a production line and offer unique designs that stand the test of time.

All our interior design projects are carefully researched, curated and considered to suit individual needs,
styles, context and environment.

Our core interest is in considered design which answers aesthetic and functional needs,
while always considering aspect, line of site, vistas, safety, legal regulations and sustainability.

We develop customised concepts, designs and schedules to accompany your whole project ensuring
your build and fit out process flows perfectly for your builders, project managers, joiners, trades & most of all for YOU.

To achieve the best possible results, this process involves considerable, considered knowledge &
execution of time, creative knowledge and research.

We have outlined our process steps for you below, to assist with understanding and making your project a good experience.

Depending on your interior design project’s size and detail involved, interior design time frames vary and range from 4-10 weeks +

The Consultation

Prior to our consultation, please be sure you are ready to take on a project financially. Spend some time to work out why you are pursuing this. Are you looking to improve the flow or feel of your home? Just a freshen up? A whole new design to suit your growing family? Your business needs a wow reception, your business needs a whole new face lift in branding and interiors design, your business needs quality furniture and a complete new floor plan, etc…

We value what we do, what knowledge and aesthetic and monetary input we offer our clients, so our first meeting is not free of charge. We do offer a refund into project in the way of a discount, should you proceed with your project in full.

This important meeting is for us all to work out that we are the right fit, to hear your whole brief, your likes and dislikes and your desired outcomes of this project. This is a 1 to 2 hour in depth consultation.

What to bring to your Consultation:

  • Floor plan.

  • Site plan.

  • Interior design brief including design style preferences and desired outcomes.

  • Relevant photographs of the space (if this meeting is not on site).

At the initial consultation we typically discuss the layout and functionality of the existing space, and therefore what could be improved. We like to get a feel for the space, the people and the place to create designs that are made for you, your family or your work team.

We aim to make this a fun process.

The Design

After gaining an understanding of what you want in your design, we begin by developing concepts that suit your needs, desires and design preferences; while keeping functionality & eco friendly solutions at the forefront of this planning stage.

We develop a binding timeline for your project in consultation. We then, having established design direction at our initial meeting, select fittings, fixtures, furniture and your colour palette/s.

We meet, present concept board options & solutions & consult with you at this stage to ensure you are happy with the creative direction of your project.

Once you are happy with all these elements, we begin your preliminary sketch plans & accompanying FFFF&E Schedule. Finishes, Fittings, Fixtures, Furniture & Equipment. This creates your full interior design package.

A 3 proof process commences and a series of sign off processors and elevation drawings take place.

The Final Countdown

The Build

Your appointed builder will co-ordinate & manage your project. However, if you prefer to manage this yourself, you can do so with your fully developed Core Interiors design package of documentation and FFFF&E scheduling.

If you are not in a position to manage your own project, we can offer you a further quote to project manage your project for you.

Once this decision has been made we are finished our scope of works. We do not break up here… we are available to you for a further 4-8 months [depending on project requirements] for interior design questions you may have during your build and those minor changes that can pop up.

When the build is complete we view your new space with you and can assist you with a defects make good list to be done prior to your sign off with your builder.

Where possible we then arrange a professional photoshoot to show your space in its best possible light to be featured on Core Interiors Website.

Then you can sit back & enjoy your new space/s.
